Are you related to a PENDLE WITCH?

           Genealogy Chat :

I am a researcher for a TV programme which will be reviewing the story of the Pendle Witches.
As a genealogist I have been asked to try and make contact with any living descendents of the Pendle Witches, with a view to them being interviewed by Mark Olly on the forthcoming series. If you are connected to the Pendle Witches, would this be of interest to you?  Would you like to take part, have some family history you would like to contribute to our research and/or have a chat with Mark?

I’m related to Mother Chattox, but would like our Annie to rest in peace now. She wasn’t a witch and needs to be left alone.

    Thanks

It is highly unlikely that they had many descendants. Demdike’s family were executed, although she did have an illegitimate son named Howgate/Holgate. Anne Whittle had daughters, not sons, so how was their family named carried on ? Alice Nutter’s line died out with her grandson’s.
