Pendle Hill Looking East

We couldn’t resist sharing this incredible photo of “Pendle Hill looking East” in winter by Paul Downey on the TrigPoint website, although he didn’t exactly have a haunting experience or anything remotely paranormal.  The photo itself is well worth a look.  Bet you were wearing the thermals Paul!   Let us know when you make another visit, if you go next year on  the 400th anniversary of the 1612  Pendle Witch trials, who knows what may happen.

This is what Paul had to say about spooky Pendle Hill:-

“My most regularly visited Trig Point. Pendle Hill draws me back again and again. Bitterly cold (the early snows of late Nov/Early Dec 2010) and windy but fantastic views as far as Coniston and farther on, Scafell Pike”        Pendle Hill looking East  ©Paulus66                   Email address:

Many thanks Paul for permission to share your photo and thoughts of Pendle Hill looking rather spooky in the snow, but not conducive to ghost hunting I’m afraid. No sign of any Pendle Witches either!
