Your evening begins at Clitheroe’s Castle, that has watched over the town of Clitheroe and the Ribble Valley for over 800 years.

From the castle you will be guided around Clitheroe by our storyteller extraordinaire, Simon Entwistle. Simon will tell ghostly tales of old Clitheroe and show you the locations where sightings regularly occur even to this day. Following the tour of Clitheroe, we will make our way to our base for the evening.  Whilst you enjoy your meal prior to ascending Pendle you may like to consider this:- “Are the spirits that frequent Pendle Hill with me even now?”

When you have eaten we will take you up onto our magical hill where Simon will tell you the TRUE story of the famous or should that be infamous Pendle Witches!
On a windless night Pendle Hill whispers to you. On a windy night it screams in your face!! “Or are you hearing the spirits?”

Are you feeling a little bit frightened? Is the darkness that is Pendle Hill getting to you? Remember, as you pull your jacket tightly around yourself…, man has lived, and died, on this hill for thousands of years and oh yes, the Pendle Witches would have walked these very slopes that you are walking this evening. As Simon moves off into the darkness Anita, our psychic medium, will guide you through…!!

Were you slightly frightened before? No! Oh, believe us, YOU ARE GOING TO BE FRIGHTENED … Really frightened.

Remember, we live here. We know this hill and the spirits that “Watch you now!!” That you will be frightened is no idle boast. We have lived all our lives in the shadow of Pendle Hill. We are party to its secrets
